Who's behind Regret Nothing?

Regret Nothing is an initiative backed by Encompass Credit Union.

As a credit union, our purpose is very clear:  helping people with their money.  We’ve been doing it since 1953 and we now provide banking services to over 19,000 members.  With assets of over $250 million, Encompass Credit Union has five branches:  four in the Sydney metropolitan area and one in Hamilton near Newcastle.

We provide a full range of financial services and membership benefits designed to meet the banking needs of our members.

Encompass embraces the core belief of the credit union movement; that our primary purpose is to serve our members.  Unlike some other financial institutions, where profit is paid out to external shareholders, any profit we make goes back into the credit union.   While we must of course cover costs and set aside some surplus for reserve, our main focus is on returning this surplus to members by way of extra services and better facilities or through more attractive interest rates and lower fees.

It's precisely because of our member focus that we've created the Regret Nothing program.  We're excited about the program and sincerely hope that it can make a real difference to the lives of young Australians.
